Rodit Arcos was born in Pucon, a picturesque town in the south of Chile, surrounded by the beautiful and rugged terrain of Patagonia. The architectural beauty of the volcanoes, Andes mountains and the roughhewn Pacific coast served as a visual and spiritual inspiration that has remained consistent in his work.  He is drawn to the strong contrast between nature and man-made structures, and celebrates the juxtaposition of the human and natural elements that are omnipresent in the urban landscape.  This is best exemplified in his black and white series “Visiones” which documents his travels in London, Barcelona and Chiloe,  a rustic island off the southern coast of Chile.

Rodit does not “stage” his photos or work in a studio setting, preferring instead to capture an honest moment in time, based on light, composition or an emotional component. Rodit has lived and worked in Miami Beach for the last 20 years and has devoted his time to photography.
